A Little About Me and My Passion for English
My name is Andy Mann and I’m a dedicated English tutor specializing in 11+ exam preparation and creative writing skills.
I won a full scholarship to Harrow School in 2001 and graduated with an MA from Cambridge University in 2008. I began my teaching journey in 2008 with Blue Tutors, working one-on-one with students. I also spent four years teaching English, Maths, and 11+ preparation for an after-school tuition company, where I worked with students aged 8 to 16. Now, I specialize in English tutoring for 11+ grammar school exams and the Common Entrance exams for independent schools, bringing over 15 years of experience to my teaching.
I have tutored and inspired many students to achieve much better results and helped them to get into schools such as St. Paul’s Boy’s and Girl’s Schools, Wycombe Abbey (ranked in the top 10 of schools in the UK), Westminster School, Queen Elizabeth’s School for Boys, the Henrietta Barnett School, Kingston Grammar School and The Blue Coat School in Liverpool.
I am dedicated to making learning engaging and effective, helping students strengthen their comprehension and creative writing skills. With tailored resources and a supportive teaching approach, I aim to build confidence and inspire a love for English in every student.
